I am a natural-born storyteller—no matter the form. Storytelling is at the heart of everything I’m passionate about.
I’m a published author of the Jacopo Jacopo Football Star series, which follows a 10-year-old mixed-heritage boy from Liverpool chasing his dream of playing in the Premier League. The series debuted on Amazon during lockdown.
Over the past decade, I’ve toured my one-woman show Identity Crisis, which I both wrote and produced. I play all nine characters in the show, which originated at Rose Theatre Ormskirk as part of my Master’s degree. The tour took me to Liverpool’s International Slavery Museum, The Blackie, Manchester’s Z Arts, Bristol’s Wardrobe Theatre, London’s Actors Centre and Ovalhouse, Edinburgh, and finally Soho Playhouse in New York City—garnering five-star reviews wherever it played. It was a key part of Liverpool’s Black History Month celebrations at Hope Street Theatre and concluded at Shakespeare North.
Recently, I premiered at the Everyman Theatre as Carole Hylton in Takeaway to great reviews.
My next project is Cancel Culture, a play about motherhood. I am also set to star in an upcoming BBC1 drama, taking one of the lead roles in a long-running series. Currently streaming on iPlayer, Unforgivable marks my fourth TV project with the esteemed LA Productions, known for hard-hitting dramas written by Jimmy McGovern.
No stranger to television, I made a cameo in Magpie Murders in Dublin, played Sheryl Mulberry in Jimmy McGovern’s Moving On on BBC1, and appeared as Aunt Venn in BBC1’s Anthony, directed by Terry McDonagh—both also for LA Productions. On Irish TV, I starred as Marvellous in RTE’s Taken Down, directed by David Caffrey for Spiral Pictures.
In 2010, I joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Gabby Sharpe, head of a new family. My film credits include The Forsaken and Happy Ever Afters. I’m perhaps best known as supermodel Liberty Baker in the final series of ITV's Footballers' Wives, a role that earned me the Favourite Female TV Star award at the Screen Nation Awards.
My screen career spans both sides of the Atlantic, with credits in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue, Nip/Tuck, Charmed, Diagnosis Murder, The Unit, Doctors, and The Bill.
I am also an experienced columnist for the Liverpool Echo and a broadcaster, presenting and producing my own show on BBC Radio Merseyside. I’ve made regular appearances on The Wright Stuff. Before acting, I worked as a model in New York.
I took time off to support my only child, who is a footballer—essentially moving from Footballers' Wives to Footballers' Mother! But now, I’m back and ready for the next chapter.
